Product Description

Cymgal 450mg Tablet contains the active constituent valganciclovir. It is used to treat viral infections. It is converted into ganciclovir after entering the body, which acts to fight viral infections. It is used in the treatment of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections of the retina of the eye in patients with Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Cytomegalovirus infection often leads to vision problems and blindness. 

 

How to use

It should be taken with food. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose. You should drink plenty of water while on treatment with this medicine as it helps to prevent dehydration and kidney damage.

• Anaphylactic shock (sudden swelling of throat, face, lips, hand, ankles, difficulty swallowing, itchy skin rash)
• Low blood counts (shortness of breath, pale skin, mouth ulcers, sore throat)
• Blood infection
