Product Description
Acovalovir Tablet contains the active constituent valganciclovir 450mg. It is used to treat viral infections. It is converted into ganciclovir after entering the body, which acts to fight viral infections. It is used in the treatment of Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections of the retina of the eye in patients with Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Cytomegalovirus infection often leads to vision problems and blindness.
Acovalovir Tablet is also used to prevent Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections in patients who have received an organ transplant from a person who was infected with CMV and as prophylaxis for CMV in adults and children. Inform your physician if you are allergic to antiviral medicines. Do not take this medicine if you are breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor if you have kidney disorders, low blood counts, or are undergoing radiation therapy or hemodialysis.
How to use
Take this medication in the dose and duration prescribed by your physician. Swallow the tablets whole and intact. Do not break or chew the tablets. Acovalovir Tablet should be taken with food.
