Zoladex LA 10.8mg Injection is a chemotherapy medication containing the active constituent goserelin acetate. It is used to treat prostate cancer in men. Cancer is a disease in which cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner. In women, this medication is used to treat breast cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids (benign growths in the womb). Endometriosis is a painful illness in which the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of your uterus.  

It also helps treat infertility in women in combination with other medications and is used to make the lining of the uterus thinner before the operation on the uterus. It is contraindicated in children and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Before taking Zoladex LA 10.8mg Injection, talk to your physician if you have high blood pressure, heart disorders, diabetes, urinary problems, bone diseases, or if you drink alcohol or smoke.

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

Side Effects

Serious: 

• Abdominal pain, distension
• Low blood pressure or altered levels of consciousness, dizziness
• Shortness of breath, wheezing
• Swelling of lips, tongue, or face, rash, itching

Common:

• Hot flushes & sweating
• Reduced sex drive
• Injection site reactions (bruising, pain, redness, swelling, or bleeding)
• Tingling in toes or fingers
• Skin rashes
• Hair loss
• Weight gain
• Changes in blood pressure
