Pentasa Rectal 1gm Suspension contains Mesalazine. It is used to treat ulcerative colitis. Ulcerative colitis is a disease of the colon (large bowel) and rectum (back passage) in which the lining of the bowel becomes inflamed resulting in rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, and frequent diarrhea. Pentasa Rectal 1gm Suspension is not suitable for children. You need to tell your doctor if you have kidney disorders, liver disorders, lung problems, in particular asthma, or if you are allergic to any medications before taking this suspension.
