Kenadion Vit K1 10mg Injection is a man-made vitamin called Vitamin K1. It is prescribed for babies who do not have sufficient Vitamin K in their bodies. In certain diseases like obstructive jaundice, dietary vitamin K is not well absorbed and hence there is a need for Vitamin K injection before surgery. Lack of vitamin K in body leads to bleeding, which is a serious, but rare condition. This condition occurs due to fault in formation of factors II, VII, IX and X by the liver. 

How to use

Kenadion Vit K1 10mg Injection shall be given through vein, muscle or mouth. The dosing will be decided by the physician based on your child’s needs.

Side Effects

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious:

• Allergic reactions, characterized by swelling of your child’s throat, face, lips and mouth; difficulty breathing and swallowing.

Common:

• Reactions at the site of injection
• High bilirubin levels
• Dizziness
• Flushing
• Low BP and heart rate
