Product Description
Kenadion 1mg Injection is a man-made vitamin called Vitamin K1. It is prescribed for babies who do not have sufficient Vitamin K in their bodies. Vitamin K is supplied in diet as Vitamin K1 and Vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 is also made by bacteria in the intestine.
In certain diseases like obstructive jaundice, dietary vitamin K is not well absorbed and hence there is a need for Vitamin K injection before surgery. Lack of vitamin K in body leads to bleeding, which is a serious, but rare condition. This condition occurs due to fault in formation of factors II, VII, IX and X by the liver.
