VANCOGRAM 1GM INJECTION contains Vancomycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Glycopeptide antibiotics. It is used for the prevention and treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible strains of methicillin-resistant (beta-lactam-resistant) staphylococci bacteria.

VANCOGRAM 1GM INJECTION is used for the prevention and treatment of endocarditis (infection to the inner lining of heart with symptoms of fever, chills, difficulty in breathing etc) as well as is used for the treatment of hospital acquired pneumonia, infections of skin and tissues below skin, bone and joints (involves osteomyelitis, arthritis, spinal infections etc with symptoms of pain, fever, chills, swelling in joints etc).

How to use

VANCOGRAM 1GM INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous infusion. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
