Product Description

Sutib 12.5mg Capsule consists of the active ingredient Sunitinib. It is prescribed for patients with kidney cancer and stomach cancer that has started to spread to other tissues. This medication is preferred for patients who have not responded adequately to other chemotherapy treatments and cancer therapies like Imatinib therapy and cytokine therapy. Side effects include hypertension, rashes, diarrhoea, weakness, bleeding, protein in urine, hypothyroidism, neutropenia etc.

Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, liver, or kidney problems or bleeding disorder. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your healthcare team know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Sutib 12.5 Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Treatment of Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST)
Treatment of Kidney (renal) cancer

Side Effects

Serious:

• Painful skin ulcer
• Skin/soft tissue infections that are rapidly spreading
• Severe skin rashes
• Discolouration of hair or skin
• Higher risk of bleeding
• Heart problems
• Altered frequency of urination
• Swollen feet or ankles
• Cough, chest pain and breathlessness
• Bleeding, Severe stomach pain or swelling of stomach

Common:

• Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and dyspepsia
• Dryness, thickness or cracking of skin and blisters
• Extreme Tiredness
• Bleeding
• High BP
• Swelling
