Survanta 200mg Injection (Beractant) is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of respiratory distress syndrome in premature babies. It is a natural surfactant that is extracted from bovine lungs. Survanta 200mg Injection is primarily indicated for babies and premature infants with a bodyweight of 1250g and below.

How to use

Survanta 200mg Injection should be used only when there is enough facility for ventilation and monitoring. This medicine should be administered via intra-tracheal route. Your baby’s physician and nurse should constantly monitor to ensure that the right amount of oxygen is given. Dosing shall be stopped by the physician in case of slow heartbeat or reduced oxygen in circulation and resumed only after the condition is stable.
