Nevivir 200mg Tablet consists of the active ingredient Nevirapine. It is used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1) infection in adults and children older than 3 years of age. This medicine belongs to the class of anti-HIV drugs called Non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors.
Antiviral medications delay the complications related to AIDS and improves the overall quality of life. Nevivir 200mg Tablet is prescribed to stop reproduction of HIV for as long as possible. Even though this medicine cuts the risk of viral infection to a great extent, this is not a cure for HIV infection and there is still a possibility of transmitting HIV to other people.
