Product Description
Jakavi 20mg Tablet is a targeted therapy containing the active constituent ruxolitinib. It is used to treat myelofibrosis, a rare blood cancer. Myelofibrosis is a disorder of bone marrow in which marrow is replaced by scarring tissue, resulting in a lack of normal blood cells and the spleen becomes significantly enlarged.
Jakavi 20mg Tablet is also used to treat polycythemia vera in people who were not able to be treated successfully with an anticancer medication, hydroxyurea. Polycythemia is a bone marrow disorder in which marrow produces too many blood cells resulting in thicker blood and reduced spleen size.
This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children under the age of 18. Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking this medicine; it can affect the amount of medicine in your blood. Before taking Jakavi 20mg Tablet, talk to your physician if you have any infections, kidney disorders, liver disorders, tuberculosis, or skin cancer.
