Diucontin-K 20mg/300mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to reduce excess fluid levels in your body. It is used to treat edema (fluid overload). It treats fluid overload associated with heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease.

Diucontin-K 20mg/300mg Tablet will make you lose excess water through urine while maintaining potassium balance in the body. It is best to take this medicine in the morning along with food to avoid frequent urination at night time. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain are some common side effects of this medicine. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. It is advised to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration while taking this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney, heart problems, high blood pressure or high blood potassium level. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.  Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctor before using it.

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Diucontin-K 20mg/300mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
