Clokeran 2mg Tablet consists of the active ingredient Chlorambucil. It is indicated for cancer and blood-related problems. It is prescribed for Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Chronic lymphocytic leukemia and Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia.
Hodgkin’s disease and non-hodgkin’s lymphoma are cancers formed in the lymphatic system. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is a blood cancer where the bone marrow produces abnormal amount of white blood cells. Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia is a rare lymphoma that results in the abnormal amount of protein in the blood.

Inform your doctor if you have a medical history, of bleeding disorders, heart or liver disease, radiation treatment or any infection. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all medications you are using. This medicine is known to reduce the number of blood cells in your blood thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with kidney, liver and heart function during treatment with this medicine. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Clokeran 2 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Serious:

• Unusual bleeding or bruising

• Extreme tiredness
• Numbness or weakness of muscles
• Rashes or blisters on skin

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or mouth sores
• Fits
• Secondary blood cancers
