Cadsonib 200mg Tablet consists of the active ingredient Sorafenib that is indicated for advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) in patients ineligible for surgery and differentiated thyroid carcinoma (thyroid cancer) in patients who are not responsive to radioactive iodine therapy
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) interacts with its receptor to generate angiogenesis, which ultimately facilitates the growth and spread of cancer. This medicine acts against the overexpression of these receptors that is common in several types of cancer.

Cadsonib Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach, but try to have it at the same time every day to get the most benefits. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.

Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, liver, or kidney problems or high blood pressure. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your healthcare team know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Soranib Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Side Effects

Serious:

• Stevens Johnsons Syndrome and toxic epidermal necrosis
• Decreased blood flow to the heart
• Increased risk of bleeding (blood in urine, stool, vomit, cough, etc)
• High BP
• Skin problems
• Liver problems
• Problem in wound healing

Common:

• Nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea
• Tiredness and weakness
• Infection
• Hair thinning and patchy hair loss
• Rash
• Weight loss
• Loss of appetite
• Low levels of calcium in the blood
