Buselin 0.5mg Injection consists of the active ingredient Buserelin. It is indicated for the treatment of infertility, endometriosis in women and hormone-dependent prostate cancer in men. It belongs to a group of drugs called as Gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs. Infertility in women results from abnormalities in the reproductive tract that prevent fertilization or embryonic implantation and damaged fallopian tubes due to infections. 

Buselin 0.5mg injection is approved as a part of androgen deprivation therapy, a combination of radiation, surgical and hormonal therapy in high-risk patients with prostate cancer. Androgen deprivation therapy lowers the levels of testosterone considerably.
