Product Description
Borviz 2.5mg Injection consists of the active substance Bortezomib. It is a chemotherapy medication indicated for the treatment of multiple myeloma and mantle cell lymphoma. Multiple myeloma refers to cancerous progression of plasma cells that are predominant in the bone marrow. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less common type of cancer that affects the lymph nodes.This medication is concomitantly used with other chemotherapy medicines like pegylated liposomal doxorubicin, rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, dexamethasone, prednisolone or thalidomide for patients who have not started treatment and are ineligible for blood stem cell transplant.
Before taking Borviz 2.5 Injection, consult with your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, heart disease or bleeding problem. It is important to consult a doctor if you develop symptoms like memory loss or trouble in thinking. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your healthcare team know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

Serious:
- Muscle cramps
- Confusion, visual disturbances, seizures and headache
- Breathlessness
- Swelling of feet
- Changes in heartbeat
- High BP
- Fainting and tiredness
- Cough and chest tightness
Common:
- Pneumonia
- Loss of appetite
- Sensitivity, tingling and burning sensation of the skin
- Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
- Mouth ulcers
- Constipation
- Muscle and bone pain
- Hair loss
- Fever
- Reduction in blood cell count
- Reduced kidney function
