Augmentin 600mg Injection contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid, which belong to the group of medicines called Penicillins and Beta-Lactamase Inhibitors. It is used in children for the treatment and prophylaxis of various bacterial infections (such as respiratory tract infections, which include pneumonia), acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, urinary tract infections (cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis), bone and joint infections (osteomyelitis), middle ear infections (otitis media), tonsillitis, sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections such as cellulitis, boils, wound infections, intra-abdominal sepsis, dental infections, infections of genital organs in females.
