Product Description

Aracyt 1000mg Injection is a chemotherapy medication containing the active constituent cytarabine. It is used to treat some types of leukemia (blood cancer) and lymphomas (cancer of lymph glands). Cancer is a disorder in which cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner. This medicine should not be used if you are pregnant, have low blood cell count, have had severe effects on the brain after radiation treatment or treatment with methotrexate (anticancer medicine).

 

Aracyt 1000mg Injection is not recommended for use in infants. Ask your doctor for advice before getting any vaccinations during the treatment with this medicine. Talk to your doctor if you have any liver disorders, bone marrow disorders, recently received radiotherapy, or cancer medicine treatment, or if you are due to have radiotherapy before taking this medicine.

How to use

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

• Low blood cell count
• Loss of appetite
• High levels of uric acid
• Speaking difficulties, abnormal eye movements, reduced consciousness
• Vision disturbance, sensitivity to light, sore eyes with bleeding, watery or burning eyes, inflammation of the surface of the eye
• Sore or ulcers in anus or mouth
• Hair loss
• Problems passing urine
• Inflammation at the injection site
• Increased liver enzyme levels
